Rita Chenevey

APPLE CREEK - Rita V. Chenevey, 85, of Apple Creek, died Wednesday, September 1, 2004, in Wooster Community Hospital.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Mary Church, Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Friends will be received at the McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill Street, Wooster, on Monday evening from 7-9 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, P.O. Box 109, Wooster 44691.

Born Oct. 15, 1918, in Orrville, Ohio, she was the daughter of John J. and Marcella (Thomas) Schromen.

She was a 1937 graduate of Orrville High School and a graduate of Wooster Business College.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are sons, Ken (Val) Chenevey of Wooster, Jim (Cindy) Chenevey of Wooster, John Chenevey of Wooster, and a daughter, Jean (Fred) Schludecker of Wooster; nine grandchildren, Angie, Jen, Beth, Chrissy, Lindsey, Justin, Ashley and Brianna Chenevey and Brock Schludecker; two great-grandchildren, Brian and Mikayla Chenevey and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Walter J. Chenevey, in 1997, whom she married in 1947; sisters, Eugenia Schromen and Marcella Walasek and a brother, John Schromen.
