Hi Nikki,
Do you know whearabouts in the Wigan area, your Granfather was born?
I have a William Cheetham on a Wigan Census who was the Brother of my Grandfather, John Cheetham; their Mother and Father were Edward Cheetham, and Alice, (nee Walsh.
Other Siblings of Edward and Alice were:-
Thomas, Margaret, Mary, Elizabeth, John, Ann, Alice, Ellen.
Early in January completely by chance, I discovered I had Cheetham relatives in Toronto, New York, and elsewhere, whose Cheetham ancestors, from this line, had emigrated in the early 1900's.
All of the above were born in either Wigan or Pemberton which is about a mile outside. Some in the Family were colliers.
