Hi Sharilyn,
I've been researching the Hopkins of Glen Cove, L.I., Queens Co., NY. I discovered a transcript of some of their graves in their private cemetery located on their farm off Cedar Swamp Rd. and posted them on www.findagrave.com under Hopkins Family Plot, Nassau Co., NY.
William M. Hopkins (he descends from Ichabod) and wife Elizabeth Downing owned the farm. She died in 1850 at the age of 90. Their son Coles Hopkins married Anna Mudge. Another son Silas b1800 sold the farm to Wm. Hall in 1867. I'm looking for their whereabouts after the farm was sold, especially Silas. I know some went to North Castle, Westchester Co., NY., but where did they migrate from there.
Any clues greatly appreciated.
