I descend from Rose Cheeseman b. 23 MAR 1783 Lympne, Kent, England. Parents Stephen Chesseman and Sarah Bejent married: 11 FEB 1783 Lympne, Kent, England.
Rose Cheeseman Thornden married 29 NOV 1817 in St. Leonard's of Hythe,(Kent) to: John Hambrook b 1785 Swingfield, Kent, ENG (Rose had a 1st marriage to John Thornden).
Rose and John Hambrook,(Occupation: Blacksmith), emigrated with children: George 14.2.1819;
John William 30.12.1821; Mary 24.8.1823
another child: Sarah Elizabeth 21.5.1820 didn't appear to be with them on ship "Neptune" arriving in NYC on May 18th, 1837.
They settled in New Castle, Westchester County, NY. I was wondering why, your Cheeseman and my Cheeseman/Hambrook Family would settle in New Castle??? Feel that Rose maybe related to your Cheeseman group???
Arlene
