Hi Sharilyn: Yes, I am the author of The CHEESMAN DOSSIER among other books. And yes, I go through a lot of time and much expense to promptly correct my work IF an error is found. But, I am not the submitter of Samuel Cheesman having married Elethere data to the LDS. IF I remember correctly, I received that data about four or five years ago or so from a lady in Florida whose first name is/was Elizabeth. I mail out literally hundreds of genealogy questionairs annually asking relatives and anyone who appears associated to the Cheesman, Cheeseman, Chesman, Chessman Chisman lines to share their information and photographs with me for use in the books I publish. I also buy information from archives too far for me to travel, and I frequently purchase photographs, Bible records and Genealogical documents on eBay. The books I write are printed in very limited editions and are therefore very expensive to publish, so I really try extra hard to avoid entering any kind of error and all questionable material or information. I do not criticize nor in any way jeer people who are kind enough to share their information with me, and I find too few people are willing to share their documents and sources, but I do try to check their genealogical submissions with what sources are available. However, once in a while someone will make an error in their records and pass it to me and other researchers. The DOSSIER is a Who's Who category book that is planned to serve as a kind of genealogical roadmap. The books are planned for release in three volumes, being: Volume 1, Cheeseman and all variations of the surname (released in 2003 and will be re-released in a revised edition this year or 2008); Vol. 2, Related Families to Cheeseman and all variations; Vol. 3, Documents and Photographs. It is unreasonable to suggest providing the source for each of the thousands of Who's Who entries in each large book title containing more than 500 pages, but I do make the effort. I have seven Sophia Cheesmans, twelve Nathaniel Cheesmans, six pages of Samuel Chees(e)mans, a number of Wrights, but only one Elethere Cheesman. Of Elethere, my records read: Elethere Cheesman, born 14 FEB 1746, Long Island, New York, daughter of Samuel Cheesman, married Oliver Beasly (1744-1835, NY), 14 FEB 1760, Hempstead, L. I., NY. Died 18 JUN 1810, Greenfield, New York. AE 64 years, 4 months & 5 days. Buried at Methodist Cemetery, Greenfield, New York. FamR, MRF, CemR. Notify Administrator about this message?
