Hello,
I am trying to contact David R. Cheesman.
I generally post to the CHEESEMAN genforum, but I have been sent some information today by David R. CHEESMAN, in which the spelling Cheesman is used for my people of interest.
This information is said to be from the CHEESMAN DOSSIER
"Samuel Cheesman, born 23 JAN 1719, Westchester county, New York, son of Samuel(ca 1680-1722) and Anne Coles Mudge (1692- ). Married Elethere ___________, SEP 1744, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Died in 1771, near Rye, New York. Occupation: Weaver and Freeholder in Castle, Westchester county, New York."
Samuel Cheeseman was indeed born 23 January 1719, and was the son of Samuel Cheeseman and Ann Coles Mudge. He was indeed a weaver and freeholder of North Castle in Westchester County, NY.
I have been searching a very long time for the identication of his wife.
This seems to say he married a woman named Elethere, in Philadelphia, PA.
I know that he had a DAUGHTER named Elethere Cheeseman, born ca 1849, who married Oliver Besley.
I have never seen information that gives the name of the wife of Samuel Cheeseman b. 1719, other than this information from David R. Cheesman, and I have been trying to contact him to learn where he found this information.
Does anyone have CURRENT contact information for DAVID R. CHEESMAN, author of the CHEESMAN DOSSIER, that contained the above information?
