I know some CHEESEMANS at Rushoon were married to MILLERS and at least one WHIFFEN.
(1) My GGM was MARY ELLEN MILLER,who was of native descent,presumably Mi'Kmaq.She was apparently born at Port Royal(MUssell Harbor) about 1836(a guess,as she married my GGF,Patrick Judge,about 1857).This couple(Judge/Miller,set up home at Isle au Valen,Placentia Bay. I understand the Millers in general moved from Port Royal to Rushoon and are still there. I am looking for anyone in this line (Cheesman/Miller), who can give me some information on the Indian descent of these Millers,possibly even know of Mary Ellen Miller.(In the spelling of those days,she may have been ELIN Miller).
(2) I am looking for my GG-GM,AMELIA WHIFFEN,whom I guess to be born about 1830,as her daughter,Anastasia Walsh,my GGM,was born 1850.Anastasia married John Greene III of Point Verde,Placentia. I know my Whiffens were from Placentia Bay somewhere originally.
