I am obviously more informed than you are at this stage so I will give you what I have and hope that it will give your genealogy a nudge forward.
I have the entries for the 1871 Census which is as follows
The enumerator (or the family) have been a bit slack and have only given London as their birthplace without districts

4 eldest children are not there so presumed to be married.

IF you do obtain the marriage certificate of Joseph and Sarah I would be interested to know if Sarah's father George Hawkins is listed as a Greenwich Pensioner.
