I am looking for a Thomas S. Cheek, son of Mary Red Cheek and stepson of Wm. A. Montjoy, all of Laurens Co., SC. Thomas was born in 1862 to Mary Red Cheek. His father is unknown. Question: was Mary Red Cheek unmarried when she had Thomas or was her maiden name Red/Redd?
Thomas grew up and married a woman named Ella. They had at least 2 children: Grace and Blanche. They lived for a time in Oconee County, SC
If anyone knows anything about Thomas S. Cheek I would love to share info on his stepfather, Wm. Montjoy. I'm really after his mother, Mary A. Red Cheek, but can't find anything on her before her marriage to Mr. Montjoy.

So much work has been done on the Cheek's that I'm hoping someone will have heard a name like "Red Cheek". thanks
