"Son of J. E. & A. P. Cheek"
This was Joseph's older brother who died in 1904 or
so you are not confused but Bruce's dec'd Uncle
who died before Bruce was born.
I am sure you will find the rest of all the family info you seek right there in the Madison Co., TN Courthouse.
