I don't really have a lot of detail to give. Bruce Edward Cheek is my grandpa and he lived in Caruthersville, where he and Laura Ree Cheek (Erwin) raised four boys and one girl (my mother). Both my grandparents are buried in the Little Praire Cemetary in Caruthersville, along with several members of the Erwin family.
Something I found interesting is that my grandmother's brother, Max Roy Erwin, married a relative of my grandpa's named Lorene Estelle Cheek on September 18, 1942. Max was born in Hayti in 1925. I have no idea the relation of Lorene to my grandfather. I'm trying to get a hold of my mom to find out, but she's at an Erwin family reunion in Michigan and I can't get in touch with her.
Are you any relation to Hillard Earl DePriest? Earl Depriest married my grandmother's sister, Arlie May Erwin, on November 04, 1944, in Osceola, AR.
