i just saw your post and cannot answer your question exactly. let me add some more information to the mix. richard chick (d.c.1792) was called "of drysdale parish, caroline" when he contracted to marry the widow elizabeth (ferguson) ryland of king & queen in 1779. could watkins' patent be on the border of caroline? Notify Administrator about this message?
