I am trying to find the connection between Elkins and Sanders. MyElkins are suppose to come from SC to Ga to Tx/La. I have not been able to find the parents of my great great grandfather whose name was Allen Sanders Elkins Sr. I have pondered over and over where the Sanders part came from. Havent a clue except I read somewhere that the mothers family name was sometimes used as a middle name of children. Any light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
