Thank you for the the info. We have been operating for years that Amelia was born a Cheatham. I know there have been researchers that approve the Cheatham theory. We, (my sister and I) will be in VA in Sept. and plan to go to the VA Archives to see if we can find wills, land records etc.
After all these years (30) another possible father for Amelia is Sanders. So, it appears that we will be looking for Lester, Cheatham, and Sanders data. I doubt our time there will yield all the info. But we will get all that is possible. Will certainly let you know if we find something we consider documentation. Thank you again, good luck. It looks like all of us need documentation. The theories are plenty. Clovis
