Virginia: The Chedel/Cheadle family of my interest were all from Ashford, CT beginning about 1712. There father was allegedly (without any factual basis that I have found) named Increase. The men and their families all went up river to Windsor Co, VT about the time the Revolution was beginning. The towns were Pomfret and Barnard.
I don't have the specifics about this Increase. There are two women of the family who have collected all the names. I have collected the history, and the names and dates of the first two generations. Those ladies are Judie F. Stuntz (Mrs. Pete) of Manitowoc. She has all her info on the www and an e mail address I don't have before me. Jeannine Verhoeks lives in Florida, and has more on those VT families. I will put their e mail addresses here. You need to look at the Pomfret, VT history. George Williston
