Thanks, Jodi! I grew up in the Kings Creek community of Caldwell County, which is near the Wilkes County line. Besides, the Chavis and Harris lines from Wilkes, I also have a Moore line from Haywood and Buncombe counties. I also have Shepherd from Catawba, and a family story that says my great-great grandmother married a Shaver as her second husband (so it may be Shepherd, or it may be Shaver).
