Hello All:
My great-great-grandfather,Juan Chavez y Baca,was murdered on 2-July,1883 in Valencia County,New Mexico Territory.
I just two days ago found this out,but I didn't find any information naming who murdered him nor why nor where exactly in Valencia County.
Juan Chavez y Baca was husband of Trinidad Otero.They were parents of Ana Maria Adelaida Chavez who married Antonio Aragon.
Antonio Aragon and Ana Maria Adelaida Chavez were parents of my maternal grandfather,Ovidio(Obidio)Toribio Aragon.
This is a great mystery and I would really like to find out more information.
I am hoping that a Chavez researcher or a Valencia County researcher might be able to help.
