Uriah Chavers and Susan McMillan were married in Durham, Alabama on 31 OCT 1897. I have a copy of the Marriage Certificate from Butler Co., Alabama. I have never been able to find Uriah and Susan in the 1900 Census. There is a possibility they were in Escambia Co., Florida at that time, but I haven't been able to locate them there either.
I've heard that Dyson was known around Milton interchangeably as Dyson Chavers or Dyson McMillan. He and his wife are buried in the Milton Cemetery in the plot with Wright Chavers, son of Susan McMillan and Uriah Chavers.
I have a photo of a family reunion taken just before Uriah died in FEB 1915. In it are Susan, an older woman next to Susan identified as grandmother McWilliams (which must be her mother Adaline McMillan misidentified) Dyson, Carrie, Wright and some of the children from Uriah's first marriage.
Thanks for the information on Susan's family. I didn't have much on her.
