Thanks Susan, the family is in the 1880 censes, and maybe I posted this information, Chavers is spelled Shavers. As I said I don't know very much. My dad just passed away, so I should be able to go to Alabama. My husband and I have talked about that, but not made any plans yet. I will let you know if I come across any information.
