Yahoo!!!!! I found in the 1871 marriage records of Portsmouth, NH that Sarah A PATCH and Henry J. CHAUNCEY were married in Portsmouth, NH on February 6, 1871! So now we have the link. But I still don't know why the grave has Sarah as a Patch and not a CHAUNCY. Oh well, doesn't matter now. So Henry J. CHAUNCEY is found in the 1850 and 1860 Census of York, Maine. He is the son of Isaac W CHAUNCEY and I believe, his first wife Augusta H PHILLIPS. Isaac marries a 2nd wife, Olive, later. 1850 Census of York, Maine Isaac Chauncey 39 Head Augusta 35 Wife Charles W 15 Sophronia 13 Mary 11 Julia 9 HENRY 4 Lucy 2 Another book lists an Isaac H born in 1844. Maybe an infant who died. Here HENRY CHAUNCEY is born about 1846. In the 1860 Census of York, Maine, Henry's birth year is calculated to 1844. 1860 Census of York, Maine Isaac W. Chauncey 50 Head Olive 48 Wife Mary H 21 Julia 18 HENRY 16 (I think we have the same guy.) Laroy F. 11 Then some GUNNERSONS are listed in the same family. Perhaps Olive married a GUNNERSON. Now, I'm trying to find the ancestry of Isaac W. CHAUNCEY born December 15, 1810. He married Augusta PHILLIPS born July 7, 1815 and died Mar 23, 1855. Anybody have info on Isaac and Augusta?
