Hi Robert,

Thank you so much for the info. I wonder if Charles Chancy the Huguenot might not be an extremely distant relative of the Chauncey line since the Chauncey line originated in France as well over 1000 years ago. This is a question that can be answered by the DNA testing if Charles Chancy the Huguenot left descendants.

I had not heard about the increased mutation rate with old men having sons so this is news to me. I guess DNA genealogy is so new that it may take awhile before we have a firm theory on the factors that may influence the mutation rate in the Y chromosome.
