James Lowden Priest jr. is my ggg grandfather by way of his dau. Eliza Preist who married George Webster. George Webster came to Lowdenville Ohio in 1819 with his father Asahel Webster. Asahel is in the Gov. John Webster family of Conn. and is listed in Noah Webster genealogy who is my first cousin 6 or 7 times removed. Noah father Noah was the brother of Asahel Webster father Daniel Webster and wife Azubah Judd. Gov. John Webster was one of founders of Hartford but latter move to Hadley Ma. Asahel had moved to vt. and his home and blacksmith shop are still around. He left Vt. 1819 as listed in family Bible which I have a copy and it list his family. NOW for Walker this is what I have a Picture of one Polina (Walker) Priest taken 1854 age 80 years. In Logansport Ind. while living with her dau. Eliza Webster and her husban George Webster. My grandmother wrote that Polina (Walker) Priest was a welsh women from N.Y. I know about the tie to Chauncey but yet please help me with my grandmothers statement about James Lowden Priest wife name as Walker. It is said she is barried in 12 mile cem. along with Dau. Eliza Priest and george Webster. The cem. is 12 miles from Logansport, Ind. where family John Priest Webster son of George and Eliza came in 1855. I hope this Helps and mybe we can find out about the WALKERS. I know the city of Lowdenville says she is burried with husban please please please help find the truth on this one.
