Hello Pamela. No, I haven't found anything in Maryland in a long time. I am primarially looking for the name in the mid 1700s in the state sence my Chancy/Chanceys were in Georgia by 1800 or soon there after. My great gfather Samuel Chancy indicated in his 1880 Charlton County Ga. census that his father was born in SC, so I am looking backwards from about 1790. Thank you for the info you posted, I added it to my data base, but do not know who John Thomas Chancey may have been. I do not have his family in my base either. The William C. Fowler name was interesting. The Memorials to the Chaunceys was written by William Chauncey Fowler, September 01, 1793 to January 15, 1881, married Harriet Webster Daughter of Noah Webster. I wish I could help you with your research in Maryland, but I cannot. Cliff Chauncey is probably the best authority for the Chaunceys of the North East in general.
