In Reply to: DESC. OF THOMAS CHATFIELD 1450 ENGLAND by JOHN BELL CHATFIELD of 491

Researching Allen William Chatfield, Vicar of Much Marcle in Herefordshire, England. He was born 20 oct 1808 in Chatteris, Cambridge, England and died 10 January 1896 in Much Marcle. Probably father name: Thomas, also minister.
He was rural Dean of Ross in that Parish. Wife: Anne C - last name unknown - born Werbleton, Sussex, England.
Allen William Chatfield translated early hymns of the Christian Church. They had several children. Rev. Chatfield died a widower.

If you find any of these Chatfields in your work, I would appreciate hearing.

Jean Coleman
