My Grandmother was Ida Alice (Chasteen) Mantooth/Holiday/Mantooth. Her father was James R. Chasteen, mother unknown. She and my Grandfather, Virgil Finis Mantooth divorced for 20 years during which time she married William Holiday. Then she and Virgil Finis Mantooth remarried. They are buried in Holdenville, OK. There is no doubt about her indian heritage when you see her picture. I just found my birth family, the Mantooths/Chasteens. They had lost all contact with my Grandmother's family.
