Update, but still need help!
Found my grandparents' marriage license in Okmulgee, OK. This license shows J.R. Chasteen witnessed it.
I obtained copies of deeds dated 1931 - 1935 in Okmulgee County, OK showing J.R. Chasteen and his wife Leona Chasteen.
I have J.R. Chasteen in the directories for Okmulgee County, OK from 1916 - 1930.
I have several Chasteen/Chastain(s) in Okmulgee County during this same time period. They are as follows:
J.E. Chastain, M.D. Chasteen, Audie Chastain, Mrs. Stella Chastain, B.L. Chastain, Lucy G. Chastain, Nancy J. (widow of John), Thomas J. Chastain, R.M. hastain, F.E. Chastain, Charles A. Chasteen, and Floyd E. and wife Annie D. Chastain.
If anyone has any information which may help me find the families of the above Chastain/Chasteen(s) or help me find my husband's Great Grandfather's parents, i.e. the parents of James Richard Chasteen, I would love to correspond.
