Hello,
Thank you for your reply. Yes, I have this Robert James Chasteen, b. 1962, m. Katie Alice (Ida) Huckaby and had three children, Maney Benjimin, Martin and Annie Evelyn.
My confusion is that part of my grandmother's documents reference Martin as her father and part of her documents reference a James Richard Chasteen, b. 1885 as her father.
Family knows Robert James Chasteen as Uncle and after he and Katie Huckaby divorced, they know her was Aunt Katie Walls. They also know her son, Edward as "cousin".
They refer to Katie Huckaby's brother as Uncle Huckaby and her brother, Randolph Wilton Huckaby's son, Andrew as Uncle Andrew and his wife Aunt Fannie.
So you see, I have a lot to uncover so I can confirm who is actually my grandmother's father:
Martin Chasteen
or
James Richard Chasteen
Anyone know?
