check the records on Pierre/Peter for the son Pierre/Peter Jr. and Mildred "Middy" Archer. Born 1707 in Goochland Co. VA died in Buckingham Co VA (date not known due to fire in courthouse in 1869) Last known record on him was August 16, 1756. He patented 396 acres land in the county of Albemarle on the branches of Hunts Creek. Their Children:

Rev. James Chastain B. 1740 in Goochland Co. VA (remember this name)

John Chastain b. 1743 in Goochland , died 1805 in Pickend Co SC;

Rene Chastain b. 1745 in Buckingham Co. VA died 21 Mar 1818

Abraham Chastain b. avt. 1750 in

Albemarle Co, died 15 Mar 1821

Archer Chastain


Rev. James Chastain
1783 - he was a citizen of NC where he received a land grant of 300 acres on Indian Camp Creek, in the part of NC that became Sullivan Co, TN

1790 jCensus - 96th District Pendleton Co SC page 81 lists, 2 males 16 and above; 4 males under 16; 3 females, no slaves.
