Hi, Beth -- My 6-great grandfather was Dr. Pierre Chastain. He was born 6 Apr 1659 in Charost, France, and died in Nov 1728 in King William Parish, Manakin Town, VA. His second wife (of three wives) was Anne Soblet, daughter of Abraham Soblet. This sounds like the same person you describe. Thier daughter, Elizabeth Chastain, married David LeSueur and my LeSueur line comes down to my grandmother, Margaret Olive LeSueur. There has been a lot of research done on this line, including two articles in "The American Genealogist" magazine. There is a Descendants of Pierre Chastain association that is active, and they have published a book on the first 4 generations of his descendants. I am in touch with a number of his descendants. If you think that this is the person you are seeking, let me know and we'll take it from there.
