My 4th-great grandmother, Mary Chastain, was married to Alfred Nicholson. Their daughter Hannah is buried in Coosa Cemetary in/near Union Co, GA.

Hannah married Samuel Morgan; Hannah's daughter was Josephine Louise Morgan; I don't know if she was born in Union County, but have no reason to think she was born elsewhere at present.

Josephine married John Moore; however Josephine's daughter Nettie Francis Morgan was not his daughter, but was the product of an affair with one Albert Farrister of Blairsville, Union Co., Georgia; he never acknowleged his daughter, thus the same last name as her mother.

Nettie Francis Morgan married John Randolph Bowers of Blairsville; they had a son, John Claude, whose eldest son Lawrence Bowers is my father.

I would welcome anything you might have on the Chastains of Union County; I have reason to think they eventually trace back to France, but as yet have no proof. Anyone who is interested is most welcome to the information I have on my branches of the family.
