Yes that is the same Chastain family. What I am trying to find is the parents of James Chastain and the father of Elizabeth Smith. Here is what I do have. Can you add anything? Make corrections? 1. James Whitt2 Chastain (Chastain1) was born January 11, 1813 in North Carolina, and died August 29, 1882 in Forsyth Co, Georgia. He married Elizabeth Clayton Smith January 10, 1840 in Forsyth Co., Georgia, daughter of Smith and Dicy. She was born December 03, 1821 in Georgia, and died June 01, 1910 in Forsyth Co., Georgia.
