I am interested in information on Elizabeth
CHASTAIN, b. 1789 Pendleton District, SC & d.1845 in Habersham County, Georgia.
According to info I have on her, she is the daughter of John CHASTAIN Jr. and Jemima DENTON. Elizabeth's husband was James ALLEN.
James & Elizabeth had 6 children: Virginia, Nancy, Matilda, Samuel Denton, John Cleveland, & James M.
ALLEN is my family line. My earliest ALLEN is John C. ALLEN (went by J.C), he was b. abt 1815 in SC.
I found a Nancy (ALLEN) married to Thomas BLACK in 1850-1880 Habersham/White County Georgia Census. They lived in dwelling next to my John C. ALLEN throughout 1850-1880. In the 1860 census, Thomas and Nancy BLACK had a James ALLEN, age 78, living with them & in the 1850 census he lived with James ALLEN Jr. and family.
Would like to know more about James and Elizabeth's children. I am not sure if this is the right James ALLEN, (or the right ALLEN line for that matter).
