Thanks so much for your responses. I've been doing yard work and was out-of-town a couple of days....so hadn't checked the messages until now.

I'm still "chewing" on your ideas and information. I have done research on both the COX and COCKE names and have four binders full of records of the counties that you mentioned....will see if I have the info from the ones that you mentioned.
