According to a book I just found: Rev. Rene Chastain was b. June 28, 1741 in Powhatan County married Ann Ford (Faure). Reverand Rene was the son of Rene Chastain Sr. and Judith Martin. Rene and Ann Chastain had my Ancestor Magdaline Chastain Who married Joseph Carter. The Reverand was a very famous Virginia Baptist minister who took part in the organization of many Baptist churches. He was pastor at Buckingham for 53 years as well as at Cumberland, Providence, Mulberry Grove and other churches. Hope this helps.
