Terry, thanks for the response. I found the same Denton reference that you mentioned. They sure did like the name of Rebecca!

Since James Adams, the oldest child, was born during 1819 and my ancestor was born during 1811, I now believe that I am not related to the Chastains (Rebecca). The William Adams may have been married previously or he may not even be the father of my Roberson Adams. I guess that I will follow some other leads. If you find out anything different, please let me know.
