Shasteen in Tx or OK

I am wondering whether Shasteen is a variation of Chastain. I live in AZ and have never met another Shasteen, although I am told the name is not uncommon in the southeast. My grandfather is Walter Clay Shasteen. He is difficult to get information from. He was born in either TX or OK and moved to AZ shortly after getting married (late 1940's or early 1950's). He had a brother Tommy Shasteen who lived most of his life in Dennison TX. I don't know the names of their parents. Can anyone help? Thanks
