Hello;
I'm a newcomer to the Chastain line of research. I descend (like so many others) from Pierre Chastain Sr, but have found an intriguing website including baptisms in King William parish beginning around 1721. The list includes an Estienne Chastain as a parent who is baptizing his various children at various times. The problem here for me is that Pierre Sr. does not have any "Estiennes" that I know of as children (the first Estienne in our line appears under Rene Chastain Jr. much later). So...could this possibly be your Estienne (Stephen), or an adult son of him- doing the baptizing, here?
Check out this website for your self, and I hope it helps!
