Chastain Family Genealogy Forum
  
There is some mention of the Chastain family on the 1830 Census of Rabun Co., GA, who were pioneers in the North Georgia Mountains, in a book called "High Humor Of The Hills." The family is mentioned in the genealogy addendum. Many of their neighbors and kin are talked about in the true anecdotes section.
