Patricia,
I emailed you direct with information on another descendant of Elijah Chastain Jr. who has done more research. My connections by marriage are through Catherine Carson (third wife of Elijah Chastain Sr) and Virginia Jane Carson (married James Chastain Sr, Elijah's son by a prior marriage). Catherine and Jane were daughters of David Carson, my 4g grandfather. My data came from other Chastain sources so far.
