In Re Elijah Chastain Jr. and son Rainey Franklin Chastain. You message stated that your information was from other sources. I need documentation such as a marriage record or license of Elijah Jr.'s marriage to Rainey Franklin's mother and her name for DAR membership. If you are in communication with other Chastain family members or researchers who might have this information would you be so kind as to tell me how to contact them? Again, this is for verifying Elijah Jr. 'as the father of Rainey Franklin Chastain. I haven't been able to find documents that verify Rainey Franklin's birth as a son of Elijah Chastain, Jr. grandson of Rev. John Chastain. Do you know what Rainey Franklin's mother's name was and when she was married to his father, if they were married. Vol 1 of the Pierre Chastain generations lists Rainey Franklin as Elijah's son. I just need the documentation if it exists.
