I am interested in becoming a member of DAR through Rev John Chastain. I have the information in the Chastain Family book of generations that shows my great grandfather Rainey Franklin Chastain was the son of Elijah Chastain Jr. but for DAR I need actual documentation showing proving the line from Rev John through Elijah and Elijah jr to Rainey Franklin. Do you know of anyone who has such documentation? I've left messages with several members of the Chastain family association looking for proofs, but so far no one has responded. I guess you and I are related as well. nice to meet you cousin
