My grandmother proved John CHASTAIN and we go through Elijah's son Edward, who married Sarah SHELTON. Unfortunately, I do not have her "proofs", in the way that she submitted them, but DAR can help you, if you write them. She is now deceased, but she entered through the John Abston Chapter, which is in either Dallas or Collin Co., TX and her name was Gloria (STATON) BRASWELL CHRISTIAN.
The way I understand DAR is that since she has already proven the line, all you need to prove is your descent from Elijah, Jr. and that your Elijah, Jr. is a son of Elijah [Sr.]. Shouldn't be too difficult as much has been done on Elijah's line. The Pierre Chastain Association has publications that may be of assistance to you in locating original documentation as well.
