Have seen his name many times as a possible son of Rev James Chastain who came from Virginia into Pumpkintown area of S.C. in late 1700's. Rev. James supposedly died in 1820 in S.C., I believe in Greenville County. I have never found the name Royal in my searches. Would like to know where he lived and died. I believe my ancestor Reny Chasteen, born 1813 Greenville Co., S.C. was another son of this Rev. James Chastain.
