I'm searching for the parents of Chasteen/Chastain Hood, born abt 1800 in VA (Amelia County, I believe). His sister may have been Hallie Pleasant Hood, who married Woodley Talley. Hallie's is listed as the orphan of Patsy Hood. Chasteen and Hallie, along with a Jonathan Franklin Hood, all moved to Crittenden County, KY in the late 1820's. Chasteen's children were named James, Pleasant G., Martha Ann, Mary Jane, William Daviess, and Chasteen T. To make matters more confusing, in one county he is called "Chasteen", and in another county, he is known as "Justinian." Any help would be THRILLING!!!! I've been stuck on this line for a long time.
