My great-grandparents were William Otto SHASTEEN (b: March 20, 1893 in Lake City, Craighead Co., Arkansas; d: July 30, 1942) and Anna Leona HALLEY (b: Nov. 1, 1896 in Nettleton, Arkansas; d: October 1978). They were married April 25, 1914 in Lake City, Craighead Co., Ark. Earlene and Merlene (daughters of Otto and Anna) are my grandmother's twin sisters.

Otto SHASTEEN's parents were John Wesley HALLEY (b: Jan. 27, 1852; d: Nov. 12, 1917) and Alice Belle TRIMBLE (b: Nov. 12, 18??; d: July 24, 1912). They were married March 23, 1882 in Gallatin Co., Illinois. There children were:
1. Madeline HALLEY (she married Powhatten HAMILTON and their children were: Moira, Earl, Leland, Lauren, Ruth, Linda, Hatten, and another female)
2. Henry HALLEY (he had 3 sons--one named John)
3. Wesley HALLEY
4. Anna Leona HALLEY (my great-grandmother)
5. Paul D. HALLEY
