Well, I am SLOWLY getting this family put together. Through much effort, I have been able to confirm the JAMES R. CHASTEEN I have been searching for for over 2 1/2 years is actually JAMES RICHARD CHASTEEN.
Problem:
WHO WAS HIS FATHER.
This is what I know about him:
He was born in Arkansas around 1885/86. BOTH his parents were born in Georgia. I have him on the OKMULGEE, OK 1920 CENSUS with his wife, Sarah L. and his three children: (my grandmother) Alice I., 12; Charles, 9; "Frank", 7 (James Franklin).
Does anyone have any information on the CHASTEEN(s) who lived in Indian Territory and what became Oklahoma. To be exact, around the Tulsa/Beggs/Okmulgee/Muskogee areas?
