Discovered from multiple sources that this Joseph C. Chastain married Eliz. Nicholson c. 1835 in Habersham co. Ga. Elizabeth and sister Rachel Nicholson Pinson appear to be daughters of James and Lavina Nicholson. Joseph is brother of Rainey Chastain who married Mary Nicholson and Mary Chastain who married Alfred Nicholson. Would like to share info with anyone interested esp. descendents of James Nicholson. Thanks everyone.
