I will keep your Chason problem in mind and keep a sharp eye for it. Yeq, we might find a common link!
My great grandfather Charles Gould came from Middleton, RI by sea to Virginia c. 1820 where he was shipwrecked and he decided he liked Virginia and so he married Betsy Bulls and started our Virginia line! I found out later he had a family in Philadelphia and three families in Virginia all at once, so it was the shame of things. Great grandmother Betsy hung herself when she found out since she couldn't take the shame of it all.
My first wife was Italian and her grandafther we found out had a family in Italy, one in West Virginia, one in Torointo, and two in New York all at once (five wives at once),
and now the grandchildren are all getting to know each other and being reconciled to human nature being what it is!
Genealogy sure does rutn up strange bedpersons!
