Darius Chase, son of Royal and Ruth Chase, was born in Rhode Island, in 1804. In childhood he removed with his parents to Washington Co.,NY, an din 1836 to Cayuga Co., NY. In 1827 he married Miss MAHALA DRAPER, daughter of James and Cynthia Draper. In 1845 he came to Castile, Wyoming Co., NY and purchased eighty acres of lot 45 Cotringer tract. He has three children living.
