Came across a pair of photos posted on Facebook, a friend found them in an old apartment in uptown Saint John, NB, Canada. THere is a large collection, about a hundred pics, people in Confederation-style clothes, women dressed like US Civil War era, flapper styles, big hats with feathers- quite something. Most photos are unnamed but these two have captions:
A man, woman, and baby. In very curly, professional script it reads: The Chace Family Holidaying at Harrison Hot Springs, BC, Jul 1914. The other photo above it is an infant, appears to be the infant in the family photo, labeled Edward Earl Chase aged 1 yr Oct 12, 1914. he has scanned the front and back, most are taken at local photography studios of the time but some were taken in Boston. he is looking for info on these old photos.
